what do you do when you begin to run out of space

Like captions used to be one before Xbox started fixing that

Is just plug and play for the most part. Just make sure the portable meets the portable storage requirements needed for xbox. Dont use flash drives. Use portable hard drives.

i use the 3tb model totally recommend it or the western digital game drive

I'd say it's a solid amount. 4 TB is ridiculously high now

A lot of triple A titles are usually about 100 gb these days

he is on 1s so its not possible downloading starfield on his console but average xb1 game is around 30-70 gigs per game

maybe less for indie titles

plus u can play off the external no need to move it to internal

just dont use it on pc it will automatically reformat it for pc use

External storage = Storage outside of your Xbox.
Internal Storage = Storage inside your Xbox

Your Hardrive can only be formatted (or compatible if you will) with either your console or a pc. Not both. Moving it to one or the other will format the hardrive; erase everything currently on the hard drive and make it compatible only for that device

Ok if u take a portable hard drive that u have games on that u play on console and plug into a pc or laptop it will reformat and erase all ur games on the drive. That wont happen as u said that u dont have a pc
