There's currently an outage going on right now (not yet posted to the Xbox support website)

any info on when it should be up again?

No, this is not a planned down time. Teams are working on getting the services restored (it's services we depend on that went down, so we're waiting on them to restore service so we can bring our services back online)

ohkay, do you have suggestions on what else I could try?

Is it not installing, or installed and doesn't launch (no screen appearing), or opens a screen but stays blank?

thought it was obvious enough, that when I brought up the powershell stuff, that I was 100% trying anything that was easily googleable

#

But I will try everything again, and report back in a couple of minutes

thanks for the quick responses

The things I would try would be (in this order):

  • Restart your computer
  • Check for Windows updates and make sure you have all updates installed (install any that are missing)
  • Open Settings > Apps > Microsoft Store and scroll down to "Reset" and try that.
  • Open a command prompt and run the command: wsreset
#

oh, one other one: run: services.msc
Find Delivery Optimization
Make sure it's showing as Automatic (triggered) and not Disabled or Manual

okay so, thanks for all the advice and such.

I did all of the above in @warm mason 's list and it did not work, lovely....

But I did it again via powershell, and this time since the service was up and running, it worked. yei

Thanks for the responses and help. Have a wonderful rest of the week, thanks and bye
