My brother made my Xbox account in 2015 and now when I want to buy something using my card on the shop so I want to switch the email on the account to my one.
my brothers email is still in use so I can’t delete it

I also bought a gift card thinking it might’ve got past the password screen bc it didn’t involve sensitive info (card)

Be very careful though.

The 'xbox' part of a Microsoft Account is not a 'seperate thing'.
A Microsoft Account is one single thing that covers email, xbox, linkedin, office 365, azure, onedrive, etc.

If he is using any parts of his old account then everything (including hte xbox part) is still his
