If you just brought it then It does not matter if you have warranty or not they sold you a console that is faulty and clearly not tested by them. They have to literally replace it or refund you.
personally i would not be asking how too fix it I be taking it back to gamestop and asking them why the hell they sold you a console that clearly was not tested. ( I assume you got it 2nd hand)

maybe and there is the offline update but as i said I would take it back they sold you a console that clearly as not been tested. If you try and fix it you could make it worse then they ciould blame you.

I know that if I unplug for 5-10 seconds, plug it back in, hold disc+pair then press the power button it will bring up the troubleshoot menu

you literally are legally in you rights to demand a refund or replacement if you just brought it. They should not be selling a console that clearly was not tested i be asking to talk to the manager too if it was me.
