I switch my xbox on using the power button and it lights up for a few seconds. But then proceeds to switch off without me touching anything.

Have you tried, unplugging it from behind the console for 30 seconds, plugging it in and then turning it on while pressing sync

it has done it again

i think the update is the problem whenever it gets close to finishing it just shuts off and does it again
