#Flashing screen when i exit xbox menu

So this has been happening for months and im finally fed up with it. When im playing mw2 with 120 fps and exit the xbox menu the screen flashes black for 2-4 seconds i still have the audio but i cant see or control anything untill it is done flashing it stops when i change to 60fps but i want to play the game smoothly. Any insight? im on series s

It's by design as your display is having to change display modes from 60 HZ to 120 HZ, which is why the screen goes blank. Some displays are better than others about how long they take to come back on.

Disable the variable refresh rate thing. I forget what they called it… adaptive frames? Something. There aren’t a lot of options on the display setting screen so it should be easy to find

My Samsung tv was flashing to black occasionally for a second and I eventually discovered it was when the Xbox was trying to do a vrr

Can a Better HDMI cable fix it as im using the one that came with the TV

It keeps on doing it even with the "variable refresh rate" being off
