I just recently bought this wired headset called hyperx cloud 3. I tried connecting it multiple times to my Xbox one controller's 3.5mm audio port but it would never detect the headset. In rare occasions when it did detect the headset, the left side felt much louder and spatial audio just wouldn't work. I connected my headphones to phone and laptop to check If the headphones itself weren't defective. They connected to laptop and phone without issues and spatial audio was working perfectly. So I came to the conclusion the controller was defective, I got a new controller just today but once again same issue, even after multiple tries the headset wouldn't get detected by the controller
