So I am trying to get my speakers working on my Xbox does anyone know why when I plug the speakers into my Xbox there is no sound but when I plug them into a controller there is audio

How are you plugging them in to your Xbox

Oh this is an Xbox one? You aren’t plugging your speakers in to the IR Blaster port on the back of the console are you? It might look like a headphone jack but it absolutely isn’t
