Only is your screen will do it not all will mine was a bit of $$
So what's making it not work my monitor ? It's a 1440 144z or
I don't want to do 4k btw just 1440 120hz
Google your screen model number after the number put 120 fps Xbox there a few things about it not going to post the links Google LG then number and so on you will see

what kind of update are you looking for
your monitor only supports 1440p100 over HDMI it does not support 1440p120
as mentioned not many moniters do
I found this a little of half way in the comment's there is a post on how some can do it on HDMI but has to be newer https://www.reddit.com/r/XboxSeriesXlS/comments/jrqdh4/hello_i_cant_figure_this_out_have_lg_32gk650fb_32/
you will not be able to select 120 on a 144hz monitor that only supports 1440p100 does matter what you try it isnt supported
you need to either use 1080p120 or 1440p60
There wont be any update. This is an hardware issue with his monitor. Nothing to do with software
