I wanted to know if we will still be able to purchase Xbox 360 games after it's digital store shut downs in July 2024.

No. U can still download the games u purchased already but after july 2024 u cant buy any more games on 360 storefront

You'll be able to purchase back compat games on your Series S or X, but the 360 marketplace itself will be gone.

U could only play backwards compat games on xb1 to series consoles. If u want to play non compat 360 games u need a working 360.

To clarify - after the shutdown you will still be able to buy back compat games to play on Gen 8 and Gen 9 consoles, but those purchases will not allow you to download or play on an Xbox 360.

I thought shutdown was that u couldn't buy games on 360 storefront and could still download and play on 360

Yeah that's the understanding I got from the article, but I guess what Em means is games will be downloadable, just not ones bought after shutdown via a newer store
