#how to fix NAT type Unavailable
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Restart your Xbox
It asks me to go online enable to restart it
Is your Xbox actually working or can you not play online?
(I’m not asking if the troubleshooter says “unavailable”)
My Xbox is working and it’s connected to the wifi just won’t let me connect online or upload anything to Xbox live and stuff
But whenever I do the test network connect it says “NAT type unavailable”and also says “cannot find static ip address”
I tried restarting my router cause it said “try restarting your router” still nothing
Why are you trying to use a static ip address? You should leave it on automatic or dhcp or whatever phrase the Xbox uses.
The only reason to use a static ip is if you actually know why you need to use one lol
I’m not tryna use a static ip address it’s been saying that for a while I didn’t even activate that or not it popped up randomly
How do I put that
It would be fastest to do a factory reset to get all yoru network settings back to normal.
you can do this without losing your locally installed games.
I tried doing that but it says “you have to be online enable to do a factory reset or else you’ll lose all your data”
How to do factory reset
Still asked for ip address
I did what you said but it’s still asking for a IP address
if you did a factory reset and you still can't get an IP address then i'd start troubleshooting your home network if I were you
are you sure you have the cable plugged in properly. are you sure teh cable is not broken. lights flashing ont eh router, etc. do you have parental controls / security system active on your router that woudl block new devices, etc etc
