No, you don't get any money off the main game if you buy the upgrade.

That is an additional pack which provides DLC and early access to the game.
It will cost however much the game is, plus the upgrade pack. Whatever that adds up to you in your currency.

So lemme try to summarize what Ive read so far. While I have game pass I can play starfield for free and if i want to upgrade with the $35 upgrade it gives me that said upgrade.
The on thing im confused with still is whether or not I keep the upgrade in the future if I buy the main game.

If you lose Game Pass you only have the upgrade, which is worthless, but if you then buy the base game you'll have the base game and the upgrade, essentially the deluxe edition
