U cant use ur current gamertag if u creating a new acct.
Why do u want to create a new acct with the current acct credentials anyways
I actually just created a new account with the same gamertag.
Because I want to use the same information as before. I have a preference towards familiarity.
I think the question was why even create a new account to start with
Thats what im asking
I wanted to start a new account for reasons which are personal.
I’m sorry if my reply to your message was rude. My intention wasn’t to be offensively impolite or ill-mannered. Privacy is just important for me nowadays.
No no I got it
Update: I want to answer the question for other people.
If you want to use the same email address on a new account, you need to add a new email address to your current account for Microsoft and make it the primary while removing the old email address.
If you want to use the same gamertag without hashtags on a new account, you need to change the gamertag on your current account for Xbox (requires $9.99 plus applicable taxes).
After you changed the email address and gamertag, it might require some time to update on the Xbox, but they should both become available to use for one account without being linked to another account.
you cannot use one email on two Gamertags.
I received a notification on the Xbox which mentioned about how the email address was being used on another account. However, it still allowed me to create a new account with the same email address. My intention was just to use the same email address on a new account.
