I'm planning to buy a monitor and xbox series s. I've seen on reddit about this question. How about 144hz montor? Can it give me proper 100fps???

The console will output 60Hz or 120Hz. So you'll get 60fps max with the 100Hz monitor. With a 144Hz monitor you can get 120fps (in supported games) as long as it supports that over HDMI and not display port.

Should be, but make sure to read the specs of the monitor thoroughly.
