your hdd is working on pc?
Yes
you format your drive?
Yes, right now it's exFAT.
have tried NTFS
in my series x
still nothing
and it's not detecting it?
no
when you go to record setting you don't find it on external device?
exactly
I think I know why
why?
I too had this kind of problem it was a problem in the port of the xbox, I had to change my console at Microsoft and then it was fixed, but for another solution, I don't think I can help
but all 3 ports have this problem?
did you try a app called adv file explorer to check
it's like File Explorer in xbox
adv file explorer is not seeying it either
when you plug in the hdd do you see it light up? like the noise that makes
you try a clean format with cmd?
yes
not the quick format
i've formatted it multiple times, in all formats, from both a Windows PC and a Mac
I never heard that an HDD works on pc and not xbox
what is the mark of your hard drive
WD Elements, 1TB, USB 3
I've even tried installing WD utilities to maybe update the firmware, no such thing...
for old 360 games
I know the new X/S optimised games can only be run on internal or expansion card
then why?
also 360 games don't take a lot of storage
but I think a series s have a small storage space..
because I have a lot of them, also Xbox One games
oh
but for the problem of the series s I have no idea, I'm sorry I can't help you
is it still under warranty?
Thanks for your time, I bought it in January, so perhaps it's still in warranty
you can go to microsoft and see if they can fix the problem
I tried both xbox and WD support, they all say the same thing, format and reset
like I did with my series x, the hdmi port was not working so they give me a new one
thanks!
you're welcome, and sorry bcs I couldn't find a solution
Did you try a full restart with the HDD connected?
