#Xbox One S controller need help
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
i searched online and havent been able to find any support tickets with a similar issue
if you have any insight at all it would be appreciated
if i cant resolve this issue i might have to buy a new xbox controller
which i really do not have the funds for rn
What are you trying to pair it too, and have you ever been paired to that device before?
Okay, plug your controller in with a USB instead of trying to pair it wirelessly
just 5 mins ago it was fine
thats what ive been doing this whole time figuring it out because i have no batteries rn
It’s possibly your batteries are too weak to support a connection but not weak enough to give the LED its light
its on a usb-c plugged into the back of the box
@fringe scroll you can’t do the wireless pair mode without a batteries
so then do i need batteries to fix the issue of it being stuck in wireless pairing mode
?
It’s possible that your wire doesn’t support data transfer and instead is only for charging…
nope that couldnt be the case because i was using the wire to play fortnite just fine
It’s best to run on batteries anyway, most Xbox players would recommend a rechargeable power pack for the controller but I instead recommend Duracell rechargeable 2500mAh… additionally for wired connection if you have used that wire before is it possible you damaged it at all? The wire of the port of the controller?
it could be damaged or dirty
tmrw ill stop by the staples down the street and see if they have the battery pack orherwise ill just get regular batteries and get back to you on the matter
Okay cool no problem if you have any questions just @lyric parrot me okay and I’ll get back to you ASAP, but if your controller is really old (as long as it’s in good condition and doesn’t need replacing) the next time you have it connected see if it needs any updates in the Xbox accessories app to make sure it is still supported as much as possible
