I accidentally clicked format for media for my SSD when the notification popped up. I tried to format it for games, but the SSD won't show up in my storage devices. The SSD is a Samsung T7 portable.

To check whether your console detects your storage device:
Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage devices.
If you see your storage device listed, your console has detected it.

#

Does it show up at all in that section?

Nope, absolutely not, I really don't know what to do.

#

I just tried to connect it again, it appeared in my storage devices and then dissapeared a second later, like it was never there.

Connect it too a PC and format it too NTFS on a PC. Then restart your Xbox plug it back into the xbox it should ask you if you if you want too format it select games.

#

If it doesnt pop up then check the storage screen again too see if it shows there. Restart your xbox a few times. Make sure the storage drive is USB 3.0 or above and your using the cable for it. I also has to be bigger than 128gb

I finally found a solution! I took my One S, formatted it for games, set it for multiple consoles and now it works!
