So I used a wired connection to play on xbox and when I use the micro USBC I have to make it lean to one side for the xbox to turn on and often times the micro Usbc falls back into the center and disconnects. I’m not sure if it’s an issue with the micro Usbc or the xbox port help would be appreciated

Have you tried using a different cable?

Soo… I have this tiny one so I have to usb a bunch of usb to usb to extend it so I can play but when I was trying to update on the Xbox accessories to update it. The Xbox detected a controller however says it’s not plugged in. So I think the Xbox powers the controller but is connected by Bluetooth

"A bunch of usb to usb extensions" aren't enough for a proper connection. Your controller probably doesn't get enough power that way and that's why it's finnicky.
That's also why your controller is wirelessly connected instead of wired. It's just getting a bit of electricity but there is no data connection.

Yeah your USB cable might not be a data cable. If that's the case it will only send power.

I saw a video I can use pliers

I’m pretty sure I need to grab pliers and squeeze the micro usb so it expands a bit so it fits more snug into the port

No, don't do that! Use a different cable if the current one doesn't hold properly. You will only end up damaging the USB Port of the Controller.

I might just use a tape contraption that makes it lean to the one side so I can just be powered on

Then use batteries or buy another cable. That'll be much cheaper than having to buy a new Controller. Tape is also fine to make it work for the moment.

#

But please don't use pliers. It'll only break stuff. You don't wanna destroy a good controller to temporarely make a cheap cable work.

If it's an official Xbox Cable it should definitely be a data cable.

Yea but how do I tell the rest of its a data or the other one?

You can't tell just by the looks. You can only find out by testing. Cheap non-data cables usually come with super cheap devices, LED lamps etc.

Everything from a proper brand usually comes with a data cable
