Have been trying to connect my xbox controller on my laptop for a while

Im on windows 11
Its a wireless controller with the charging pack so it does have a wire.
The pc isnt detecting the controller at all so xbox accessories app wont work either.
tried to search in the device manager but there doesnt seem to be any unknown devices connected.

Would appreciate if someone helped me with this!

if it isn't been detected at all then try a different cable/USB port

The 360 plug and play cable is a charger only. You need the 360 wireless adapter to use the controller.

My laptop has bluetooth cant i use that?

No, the 360 controller isn’t Bluetooth.

I forgot to mention the 360 wireless adapter is discontinued, so you’ll have to find a 3rd party adapter. Better off just getting a new model controller.
