Is there any other way to fix the Headset Chat Mixer greyed out other than putting the headset in slowly?
And yes i have tried updating my controller

If the headset itself has a chat mixer then it will be greyed out.

Try unplugging the controller and plugging it back in a few times. Restart your Xbox and try a other controller
