XSX FH5 Edition But I Already Have The Game

I got the XSX FH5 edition because it was the only one available in my area. I already have the game but I thought I could give (sell) the game to a friend. BUT apparently the game code is linked to the console.
My question is, if I sign in with my account which already has the game, will the game vanish or will it ask me if I want to redeem it 1st (and in case I already have it, it will say something like "the game is already in the library).
I want to give the game to a friend but do I need to wait for him to enter his account 1st or it doesn't matter?

I think you would have to go to the console items tab in my games and apps to claim it on your desired account, it won't auto redeem if it's something you own already

as a matter of fact, I'm not too sure if it ever auto redeems?

I thought, but don’t have first hand experience, that bundle consoles auto-redeem on the first account that logs in to it?

I don't exactly have much experience either with recent times, but however some time before series console release a friend of mine bought a used FH4 bundle xbox one with digital content un redeemed, and it wasn't cards with codes iirc

but I will have to fact check that one, I could be wrong and it actually was code cards

The game must be selected to be redeemed by an account. You can sign in and use the console and specifically select to not redeem the game right now during initial setup and your friend can at a future point in time, come sign in to your console and go redeem it through settings.

There is no auto redeem.
