Hello, I've just cleaned my Xbox Series X controller and now it's acting up, I can't navigate the menus and in game it's going to be even worse. I can't even switch off via the controller, I have to use the Xbox off button.
I think it's to do with the joystick that goes everywhere and does anything, can you please help me? I didn't do much before it started bugging.
Thank you in advance for your help, I hope it will be fixed.

Did you take it apart to “clean it?
Or did you spray water in it or something?

#

If you did any of that, then you broke it and would need to buy a new one

Thank you for your prompt reply. No, I didn't disassemble it and I didn't spray it with water. I used screen cleaning wipes with microfiber technology, toothpicks to clean the contours, and a dusting spray (which is usually used for keyboards).

Okay the cloth and the toothpicks aren’t any issue… but what is the “dusting spray”? Was it a liquid?

If it is for cleaning keyboards/electronics than maybe all you need to do is wait for it to dry out for a few hours

It's an invertible pressurised gas cleaner

I don't know if you know what I'm talking about, if you wish I can perhaps try to describe it better or, if possible, send a picture.

Strange... I hope we can find a solution. If anyone has had the same problem and managed to fix it, we'd be very grateful for your help. Or if someone if just knows and has solutions, we'd be grateful too 🙏
