Automatic ip and dns (dhcp) is the default that should be used unless you absolutely positively know for a fact that you shouldn’t

Are you using a public wifi or hotel wifi or something? I didn’t even realize Xbox supported wifi networks with authentication pages

The only thing I can guess is that the wifi portal is not a good one and the edge browser is failing trying to show it.
