need help with Microsoft family stuff

Hey I have an inquiry about a Microsoft family issue I know I should go to Microsoft for help but I want tips or advice from you guys since some of you may relate to it idk. So my account was a child account for a long time so my friend suggested I make a separate Gmail and make an adult account add it to my Microsoft family and give my account adult permissions using the adult account I've done that and restarted it to make sure the settings stay but it still says my account is a child account when I want to Remove the adult account from my Microsoft family any advice??. I also want to add the whole Reason for me doing this was so I could buy stuff freely and to get dead by daylight
