#How to Remove "+" D-Pad from Elite Series 2 Carrying Case

Hello everyone,

I purchased an Elite Series 2 yesterday and am loving it so far. The only problem I'm having is for the life of me, I can't remove the "+" D-Pad from the case; it's really in there.

I've tried pulling it out, and actually tore some skin from just under my finger nails (yes, plural). I tried leveraging it with a simple toothpick but couldn't get it in. I then tried using an extremely strong magnet that I use to remove spark plugs stuck in a car, and that magnet was incapable of lifting it out!

I've read tweezers could work, but mine are metal and I don't want to accidentally scratch the D-Pad. I could try using the Thumb Stick Adjustment Tool, I saw an employee at Best Buy do so before, but he did damage the case by doing so.

So, how exactly does one safely remove the D-Pad from the Carrying Case? Without damaging either?

i not really sure what you would think anyone could advise here.

So I just tried this (I’d never tried before) and it was stuck but there’s a ridge under the side edges that let me pull it up with my fingernail. It definitely sounded like something had to come unstuck

I did it from the top edge of the Dpad

I’ve used the joystick key to take it out.

I think I had my thumb on the bottom of the case and used a single finger with nail on the top side of the dpad

@zealous plank I got it last night! Thank you very much. I was able to grab that top edge using 2 fingers. It took some pulling, but it's out :). Much appreciated!
