did u use powershell?
Yea
basically after i did powershell to remove and reinstall it i restarted pc. ms store then installed gaming services
also what do u mean acting werid
None of my games would start and the side bar wouldnt show my games
anytime i tried to install a new one, it would prompt me to install gaming services, even though I already did, and it was updated
This happened when restarted the app after trying to install Dishonored because it wouldnt download anything
yeah
i would uninstall that and try powershell again then restart pc reinstall gaming services and xbox app
hopefully it will work
so should i stop the current download for gaming services?
big problem
yeah
anytime i try to stop, it doesnt do anything
well when i load it, it tells me to install gaming services
ok uninstall xbox app. and restart pc
pc restarted. should i install the app or gaming services?
gaming services first go to ms store
done
is it downloading gaming services?
it was already done when i checked
still no sidebar....
ok. launch a game
sidebar isnt as important as playing games tbh
try installing dishonored
as u were trying to
installed games do nothing, and i still get prompted to install gaming services
ok
uninstall xbox and do powershell again
after powershell restart
try again sorry
after i run the uninstall command, i restart?
yeah
k
if this doesnt work im all out of ideas
after the restart, ill get the xbox app first
maybe that will make a difference
hey it actually worked
new problem though
dishonored download is stuck
and pausing and canceling doesnt do anything
no idea i was afk for a few hours
try to reinstall the Gaming Services app on your Windows 11 device:
1-Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.
2-In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:
get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
3-In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:
start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
4-Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
5-Restart your device and try to install the game again.
This is exactly what I've been doing and nothing has changed
can anyone please offer any advice other than reinstalling gaming services? i just want to play my games again..
Any fixes for this yet? Literally unable to do anything and also tried all the reinstalling and powershell stuff. This is ridiuculous, the Xbox app is broken as hell
if i cant get any help on this, im just gonna unsub from gamepass, since its not worth paying for something that doesnt work
Yeah, it's pretty ridiculus that a multi billion dollar company can't make a simple PC launcher. I've always had issues with the app but not this bad.
