i was playing paladins as always, my dad was taking a shower at the same time, then a power outage, then i got outside to reset the power and it came back just fine, great, i turned my xbox back on, tried to enter paladins again, but for some reason it wasn't connecting internet, so me and my brother tried a lot of things like power cycle, but none of them worked, and for some reason devices like the laptop im using now and my brother's phone connect normally to the internet as if nothing ever happened, what could be the error?
#xbox one detects every single internet connection except for mine, other devices connect just fine

Are you trying both wired and wireless connection?
i have no wire to try wired connection, but i tried even hotspot and it didn't work
Sounds like your wireless card may have got zapped during the power outage.
wdym, did it like burn or something? i mean, i dont think that's the issue bcs a lot of other wifi's appear in the list from people like my neighbors, but mine just dont
if other networks are showing like your Neighbors then the issue is with your router/gateway and how its broadcasting
i already tried resetting it 99999 times, as mentioned, it connects just fine in things like my laptop (the one im typing on rn) and my brother's phone
just because it connects too other devices doesnt mean it connect to an other
what
Just because your wifi connects too your laptop and your phone does not mean it will connect too your xbox
yeah thats what im talking about, my xbox just doesn't find my wifi, when i try putting the SSID it just shows the default error message like "try resetting the modem"
right hence why i said what i said. There is an issue with the router and it broadcasting
by modem you mean router right?
because an modem and router are not the same. If you just have a modem then it will not be wireless
yeah, but my router is also a modem at the same time
whats that
your provider
thanks i guess, we will try this later
anyway, if it don't work, would a factory reset work? my brother suggested that and i've got that huge gut feeling of "what if even after the factory reset it still doesn't connect?"
there is nothing wrong with trying but from what you said the issue is with your network set up not the xbox as discussed..
