Can’t get into overwatch

overwatch is being really weird, it wouldn’t let me press the A button to get into the game, and my A button is completely fine. I tried literally everything, resetting the game, resetting my Xbox, shutting off my Xbox and turning it back on again, resetting the wifi, checking for controller updates, but the only thing that would let me into the game was having another game fully open and then getting into overwatch. This has happened with other games that has the A button letting you into the game, and it has happened before with overwatch too, but it was solved very fast by resetting the game. Does anyone know what the problem is?

It took me 2 days before Arcade Paradise would let me past the “press A” screen even though the button clearly worked in other games and the dashboard.
I quit and restart the game a bunch of times. I think it only started working after I had fully powered off the Xbox , not just a little restart
