Hey all! I had an extra 500 gig ssd + a M.2 to USB 3.0 enconder laying around so I decided to try to add some extra space to my Xbox. Unfortunately my Xbox only recognizes it as a drive to store media and not games. I’ve tried reformatting it to exFAT on my computer, switching cables on the encoder, and formatting it on an Xbox 360 first and then plugging it into the Xbox, all to no avail Please help!
#Xbox One X does not want to allow me to format my external drive for games.

Go to settins : system : storage devices, then scroll to your drive and click “a” then the menu that pops up willmave a format option
