Anyone got a fix for the "cant connect to xbox live" and downloading profile issue on backwards compatible stuff?

everytime i try and add my profile to play mw2/cod5 and so on, it just says sorry theres a problem with credentials and then repeats cant connect to xbl

You may need to clear out the 360 storage on your Series X. Give this a try (it won't impact anything else, your saves will still be on the cloud).
Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage.
On the Manage storage devices screen, select:
Clear local saved games. This deletes games saved to your hard drive, but they’ll still be saved to the cloud.
Clear local Xbox 360 storage. This deletes Xbox 360 games saved locally, but they’ll remain in the cloud.
