it wont show that my xbox has the additional storage but keeps asking me to format it whenever i reset it, connects to pc fine

When u connect to pc it reformat the drive. Only use ur external for ur xbox if u gonna store games on the drive

You have 2 options:
- use external drive for games
- use external drive for game screen captures/clips
If you pick option 1 the drive can only be used with the xbox and must be formatted (losing any computer data that is already on it)
If you pick option 2 then you can use it on a computer an an xbox, but you can't install games or anythign to it

i only put it on my pc to make sure it wasnt fully busted i reformated it to the pc and when i reform it back to the xbox it just doesnt do anything and i still have base storage
it was having a few issues before i had connected it to the pc, i just connected it here to make sure it wasnt fully dead or broken and when connected to the xbox its lights on and everything and ask to format again but nothing

if you connect it and you're nont getting the popup to refort it for the xbox,m disconnect it, turn off your xbox, turn your xbox back on, and then connect the drive. that usually makes it notice it again

no like im getting the pop up and i click for games but it just doesnt do anything after that
