Please state the following clearly if you are seeking support:
- What is your issue? Be specific. If your issue is with an Xbox console, please include which model and what your OS version is, as well as if you are in an Xbox Insider Program ring. If your issue is on PC, please include relevant versions (Windows version, any version information for specific apps in question, etc).
- What troubleshooting have you tried? Please list everything you have attempted.
- Have you researched your issue on the internet? If so, what results have you seen and tried?
- If no to 2 and/or 3, please start there.
If you do not provide answers to all of these questions, you are not likely to receive a response.
Wait. What?
You can’t use a tv remote to play games.
What are you trying to do?
Media remote would work a bit e.g. for the dashboard/apps etc, but for games you need a controller.
Even in the dashboard most of the buttons won't work
But if you really want to do that, use the remote from the Xbox mobile app (unless you haven't already linked your console)
you mean smart glass? that hasn't been a thing for a long time. You can use your tv remote but as stated it will not work for games you need a controller
No the current app.
if your tv supports CEC, you can control through that too. edit// sorry, just saw it was one s. disregard
ah i didnt even know that was there
