They will only work for non-Series games. USB drives are not fast enough.

You need to get the official proprietary ones because usb ports arent fast enough. Seems like a rip to me tho, id be fine with longer load timesa

It's not just about longer load times. NVMe storage allows them to build the games differently to reduce the amount of reused assets and improve in-game loading to allow for bigger and more detailed worlds.

It's not just a matter of sitting on a loading screen for longer.
