does anyone know why my controller turns off after 15 minutes when i leave it afk i can’t find anything in settings to make the timer longer or anything and it’s not due to batteries because i plug my controller in

Your controller needs to be plugged into the console directly using a USB cable that has both power and data lines. If you're plugged into the console, then you're using a USB cable with only power lines, no data (meaning the controller is still communicating wirelessly to the console).

i’m using the same wire that i use to plug in my rechargeable battery port by venom i thought that’d work fine

#

but it’s nothing to do with the wire because even when my controller is full charge and i use the battery it does the same thing

As I said, it's power lines only, not data lines.

#

The controller is communicating with the console wirelessly, so it will turn off after 15 minutes of idle time, period.

The easiest way is to use something like a phone and connect it to a PC and see if your PC recognizes it to access the phone's storage, or if the phone just charges.

On Amazon, you're looking for a "data sync" cable

#

if the listing says that, it will have the data lines connected
