#How do I remove Parental Control from my account?

Hello! I am having issues on removing parental control from my account, since I have put a wrong birth date on it and I would like to get some help.

Basically, I have made a mistake and put a wrong birth date. Microsoft has then placed me into a "parental-controlled" account and I cannot find a way to edit my birth date to be correct and get out of the family group (which is just composed of a bunch of alt accounts).

Thank you all in advance - I would like to know how to leave my family group and edit my birth date.

changing your DOB will not make any differance since its done of the date entered. Only the parent account can remove any parent control so you need that account to remove them for you

To fix your issue the adult account needs to remove them. If the child account could do it that would be a massive loop hole in the system and would viod the point in them

I'm running through something quite confusing: we're actually only two in this family group and I have the account of the parent, when trying to remove the child account it says I need to ask the Family's organizer to delete the child account for me

thing is we're only two and there's the parent and the child account, there is no "organizer"

you dont remove the account you turn off the controls

I already have everything removed for the child account, the only thing left is the age filter for games and apps, which has apparently a cap of 20 years and that I can't remove nor disable, although I raised the filter to 20 years I can't even launch games such as Fortnite which is quite literally pegi 12

If your age content is set too alow M rated games then you can play games that are rated pegi 12

you can change that one the console under content restrictions

If you truly put in the wrong birthday and you actaully are an adult, then you can contact support and work with them to provide actual proof, liek a driver license maybe, so they can fix it.
