that would be a good starting point yes.
However to start with how do you know your getting FPS drops?
im playing fortnite and my fps always drops 30 and 40 from 60 somitimes its drops to 20 and im playing gta online today and it has fps drops its so clear i reported this on xbox insider app and i somitimes have little drops on minecraft too i dont know if i want to play a game with good performance i must play roblox?
All games on all devices can have drops in frame rate
my advise would be to use a wired connection and make sure you have a good speed when playing online since you mention multiplayer games.
i already use a wired connection
if you run a network test what sort of result do you get upload download ping etc
as mentioned run a network test Setting Network
settings Network Test Network speed and Stats and post the results here
i mean you can just type the results simple
Ok
Download speed:16.97 mbps
Upload speed:4.18 mbps
Paket loss:0
MTU:1480
Latency: 62ms
@jovial summit
that looks good. Just to check when your playing fornite I assume your playing on your regions server?
i deleted fortnite because of drops 😦
GTA then although i do not think you have the option with that game
Anyhow everything looks fine and this is how it is.
i think fortnite its not only because of my console i searched at the youtube and everyone reporting this issues but other games i dont know
im playing my all games in europe
@jovial summit
If your in eurpose then thats fine
Then i must do troubleshoot?
As mentioned all looks fine and this just looks to be how it is. Feel free to keep this open and i sure if anyone else as any idea they will share but i have advised everything looks fine.
i dont think so its becuase of im playing at test version with new dashboard?
that as nothing to do with it.
the troubleshoot can delete anything on my xbox?
does your country show on this list? https://www.xbox.com/en-GB/regions
Lets look
Fortnite is know for FPS drops
Yes it is
Especially in starts of matches
Yes
I get drops on my high end PC. It is the game
Fortnite on PC is a mess at times, so is console fortnite
But its not only fortnite its gta 5 and minecraft too
You can’t actually know if that is FPS drops on those, also those can get laggy at times tbh
But i have a good connection
Connection is not related to drops in frame rate most times, but this time it’s more of the games issue
as mentioned at the start of the chat and what Taco just said to a point. All games can have FPS drop on all devices.
Then why there is a troubleshoot
to rule out other issues like your connection or and region.
