Yeah you'll need to enable sharing on the Xbox, then use the Xbox app or browser to see the Xbox output
how do i enable sharing
also when i click "sign in" on the xbox app, it just doesnt do anything
If you've followed all that and it's still not working, come back and we'll try more stuff
can i play fortnite on it
yeah
yeah 11
yes
And it's the Xbox one companion app on laptop?
yes
Updates installed? Rebooted laptop?
Nothing daft like the signin screen on a "second" monitor
Yes you will
But it'll let you sign in on laptop either way
only reason im doing this is so fortnite runs smoother since it runs better on my xbox but i want to play on keyboard and mouse on my laptop screen
Yeah that ain't going to work with a KB+M
whats a KB+M
Keyboard and mouse
Well you can and it works with some games, but that's not what you were asking
i just want to play fortnite with my xbox with a keyboard and mouse
Fortnite has keyboard and mouse support so u could just plug keyboard and mouse into the xbox.
Though u need controller on main menu to load up fortnite
im still trying to set up my laptop screen to use for my xbox
Does ur laptop have hdmi input?
yeah
The only way to display from xbox to laptop if laptop hdmi port is an hdmi input port not output.
how do i see if its input
What laptop is it? The model number
dell g15 5515
It should say it in the laptop manual
idk but what app do i use to connect xbox to laptop
If ur laptop has hdmi input then all u need to do is connect via hdmi
If u want to use it wirelessly use xbox app on ur laptop
Fyi only a very small percentage of laptops r hdmi input capable
i’m just trying to play fortnite without lag
The Xbox app
Well that's the only way you can do it.
Connect to your xbox with remote play
how
U click on the remote play icon in the xbox app
what’s the icon like
It should look like a xbox one
Going to steals Paul’s screenshot.
Thanks zero im still at work
That's copy righted 😅 😆
