Yeah you'll need to enable sharing on the Xbox, then use the Xbox app or browser to see the Xbox output

only reason im doing this is so fortnite runs smoother since it runs better on my xbox but i want to play on keyboard and mouse on my laptop screen

Fortnite has keyboard and mouse support so u could just plug keyboard and mouse into the xbox.

Though u need controller on main menu to load up fortnite

The only way to display from xbox to laptop if laptop hdmi port is an hdmi input port not output.

If ur laptop has hdmi input then all u need to do is connect via hdmi

If u want to use it wirelessly use xbox app on ur laptop
