Hi so I currently have my Xbox set as my friends home Xbox which grants me access to his Game Pass Ultimate benefits like game downloads.
Likewise My home is set to his xbox and he gains my library of games including Diablo 4.
The issue I've ran into today is booting into Diablo 4 it asks me to purchase Xbox live gold to play online which other games don't do this.
Anyone any workarounds for this? Seems odd I can access all of the games in GPU, but diablo is asking for a subscription.

You need Gold to play games online, unless they're free to play games. Paid games require Gold or Ultimate.
Has his subscription expired?
Also, I assume you live together?

as my friends sharing his GPU, I can access most other games online perfectly fine.
His subs still active and working and yes.

It wouldnt make sense that someone is sharing GPU with you but its only one game that is effected in this way with gold error.
Are you sure the error your getting with Diablo is a gold error and not something else?
If it is asking you to purchase gold then the sharing isnt set up correctly. Also make sure that your friend as GPU and not pc gamepass or console GP

Positive. It prompts to buy gold on account login before character select.
Home xbox is correctly set and 100% confirmed its GPU, it has years left on it.

at a guess i going to say that its because Diablo isnt in gamepass and you need your own gold membership but if your sure what we discussed is correct you would need to reach out too support because that doesnt make sense.

I bought a month of gold in frustration last night so will need to wait a month to confirm, but yea everything worked before just fine.
