#connection problems on xbox series x

For the past few days ive had this issue where my series x won't connect to the internet on startup. It tells me to connect to the internet even though it is connected through ethernet. I can only get a connection if i restart the console, waiting does not seem to work. I have tried powercycling, unplugging router, clearing mac adresses, changing port on modem.

I've looked up the issue and it seems to be a microsoft problem that they haven't fixed in years as a lot of people seem to have the same problem with no fix?

The download speed also seems to be limited as the top right corner displays 80 Mb/s and when i look at the installation bar i get around 10 Mb/s at most.

Any ideas? Do i have to send it back? Will i get a new unit?

try switching your power mode to the 'sleep' one instead of the 'full shutdown' one.
i always had weird experiences with the 'full shutdown' and resuming network connection when turning it back on
