My hard drive in my xbox 360 is broken, and there are no replacements available. I am planning to get a newer xbox like series X.
Since I cannot turn on my xbox 360, how would I transfer my progress and data from my 360 games to the series X console? I know the function you an do this using the cloud dri unction, but currently I cannot because I cannot even enter the xbox 360 menu.
Any suggestions or approaches? I have played 10 years of NBA 2K14 and I really need help right now.

You don't need the 360. When you get your series X and sign in all your games that are back compat and work on series will be there for you to install. If you used cloud saves on your 360 when you start the game on your new console they will sync

The odds are your content is on the cloud

i wasnt using xbox 360 live when i played

#

i used 5G wifi so 360 could not connect to the wifi. Thus, i stored all my data in the hard drive

what should i do in this case @frank pasture

if you just didnt have cloud data sysnced on your 360 then those saves are gone as the hard drive is bad. Thats why you should always have this selected but on xbox one and series console its automatic anyhow only 360 was a opt in. Your games that you played will be attached too your account either way and you have acess to anything that is playable on series via back compat

no progress will be lost as long as i log into my account
