xbox turning on but not starting up.

hello! so my xbox one s isnt starting up. im turning it on, and the light will turn on and make the start up sound, plus all of the fans and stuff on the inside start up too, but any controllers attached to my console wont turn on nor will hdmi video be sent to my tv. i dont know what to do and ive contancted microsoft and they said the best i can do is send it in, but its for the same exact price as just buying a new one. any tips?

if support advised you too send it then then thats what you need too do.
