Please state the following clearly if you are seeking support:
- What is your issue? Be specific. If your issue is with an Xbox console, please include which model and what your OS version is, as well as if you are in an Xbox Insider Program ring. If your issue is on PC, please include relevant versions (Windows version, any version information for specific apps in question, etc).
- What troubleshooting have you tried? Please list everything you have attempted.
- Have you researched your issue on the internet? If so, what results have you seen and tried?
- If no to 2 and/or 3, please start there.
If you do not provide answers to all of these questions, you are not likely to receive a response.
There is one built into the xbox
Please answer the questions
No
How do you expect any of us to help if you don't answer those questions? You've given us almost nothing to go on.
Xbox 360 S showing “you need a wireless adapter message” even though there is one built into the xbox
Based on that error, maybe the internal one went bad.
Idk is there a way to check or do i just get a new one
I would use a wired connection
Yea could do ill just get an ethernet cable most likely
There's no way to check that is available to the public. Your options are to use a wired connection like Dopey said, take your console to a licensed repair shop (since I don't believe Microsoft does 360 repairs anymore), or buy a new one.
Or get the USB wifi adapter that was sold before they put wifi into the console to test it.
Wired is the easier.
Think ill just do wired then might get an adapter though
Great idea.
Ok i go shoot now goodbye
When I turn on my xbox the power button turns red and then the fan comes out loud and then suddenly turns off
