the mbps system is so trash, lets say im getting 50 mbps and downloading an 81 GB game. seems pretty fast right? wrong, doing the math we see that 1000/50 (1 gb/ 50 mb) is 20, which means it should take 20 seconds to complete a full GB. 60 seconds/20 seconds equals 3, which means 3 gigabytes should have been done within 1 minute. now, 81/3 is 27, which means the game should have been in 27 MINUTES. ITS BEEN 2 HOURS AND ITS EVEN HALFWAY DONE. HELLO?

"The mbps system is so trash"

This is not some "system" that Microsoft has implemented. It is how speed is reported. There are many ranges depending on the speed.

That being said, you will never download something on Xbox near your "max speed". There are many things that will cause the speed to fluctuate such as the time of day, the game being downloaded and its popularity, your own internet speed, how busy your home network is, how busy the network is in your neighbourhood, if you're wired or wireless, using a repeater, your own network equipment, etc.

Just because you are paying for Gigabit internet, doesn't mean you'll always get those speeds.

For the game to download in 27min, the speed would need to be 400Mbps.

I think the confusion is arising from the difference between "Mega Bytes" and "Mega Bits"
