I’m upgrading from a One X to the Series X next week. I’m curious what happens with all of my One X games. Do I have to go and buy the Series X version of all my old games now? Call of duty in particular is the series I play most and I think that at least one of them allows you to get the updated Series X version for free when you upgrade your console. Which one is it?

As for my other games, for example older call of duties and Titanfall 2 (which I still play)? Do they receive and upscale in resolution/FPS or will they look and play at the same FPS they did on my One X?

I hope these aren’t stupid questions but they are ones I don’t know the answer to. Thanks for any help in advance.

All the games that work on your One X will work on your Series X. You don't need to buy them again.

Some might have smart delivery which upgrades you to the Series version, but those that don't are back compatible.

Yes I went and looked and I have the Modern Warfare 2 that automatically upgrades to the Series version. However on the other games that are simply backward compatible, do they upscale any resolution or frame rates?

The only exception is Kinect games, they will not work on Series X.
