Hi there everyone
I’m need help regarding changing my billing address. I have a US Xbox account that I made back when I was in US. I dun love there anymore. The problem is I get charged with sales tax on my account which was set in NewYork when I was there. I’m trying to change my billing address to any state that has no sales tax but it wont let me change that with my current Visa debit card. To bypass this I got a card from my cousin who lives in US but it still wont let me change my billing address.

What is the problem here? Would really appreciate of someone would guide me through this

If you no longer live in the US then you shouldn't have your account region set to the US. Nor should you be using a fake address to avoid sales tax. That's fraud.

The only answer that you're going to get is to set the account region to the country where you live now and the billing address to your real actual home address.

Microsoft has no support for my current country so I can’t have a billing address set to my current location. Secondly, fraud is a big term to use here. I no longer live in US and have no obligation at all to pay any taxes. I have a prepaid amount in my account that I’m being charged with sales tax which makes no sense. So I would appreciate a remedy that is actually useful for my scenario.

Fraud is the correct term to use here.
