I paid $10 to change my Xbox gamer tag. After i did this, i looked at my profile, and it still displays my old gamer tag, with my new one underneath it. Why is this happening if i just paid to change it?

You need to wait, it doesn’t just apply it instantly. It should show up normally within a few hours most likely.
