My issue is My external SSD appears as media even tho it is a usb 3.1 i use a xbox series s i am on OS 10.0.22621.4470 (xb_flt_2305ni.230503-1400) i have tried updating my console i’ve tired setting power mode to sleep and i have tried power cycling i have researched and i’ve seen and done the things i have just listed
you need to reformat it for games in the storage settings if you want to use it for games
how do i do that
it won’t let me it just says view contents and it says it’s too slow to be used
If u talking about the optimized series games then yes. U need the seagate expansion card. U could store optimized series games on ur ssd 3.1 drive but not play them off it as well as saving and playing all xb1 and older generation of games that are compatible with series consoles
if it says it is too slow, the drive is not fast enough
