i have to reset my xbox but the only option is remove everything

so as the title suggests i have to reset my xbox since it js black screened on me. I got the system error E102. reddit suggests i restart it keeping game data but theres no option to. if i remove everything will i have to buy my stuff again or is that linked to my microsoft account
