I personally would not use a portable hdd on both pc and xbox. I use a hdd only for xbox and a hdd only 4 pc

Ya it’s a bit of a scam the way they market them for Xbox but the hard drives don’t support next gen games

Not really. The cheapest is mechanical drives and the slowest

#

Most of the newest games in the last 2 years requires a ssd to play games either on console or pc which is a lot faster than mechanical drives

You sound confused your message is not clear at all. You can't use a drive on a pc and Xbox at the same time. If it isn't been seen on your Xbox format it too NTFS and make sure it meets the specifications needed. It isn't a scam that you do not understand how storage works
