I bought the GTA V Cross-Gen bundle. And when I go to install it says manage. And the following is
Gta Online X|S
Gta V
Add ons:
Gta V story mode X|S doesn’t need to be installed. I’m confused as I want to play both story mode and online. I’m on series X and I don’t know what to press to install

gta 5 series x base is story mode. the online version is for online

No, for the Series version Online is the base install. Story mode is the add-on.

You don’t need Story Mode to play Online, but you’ll have to install both if you want access to both.

yeah but when I add it to the queue it wont let me it just says. Doesn’t need to be installed

Try launching the game and going to the Story Mode tab, see what the options are

If it doesn’t need to be installed then it just means that owning it is enough for the base game to let you play it.

For some reason I remember there being an additional install… Guess my brain isn’t what it used to be 😅

To be fair, I don’t know for sure how GTA is set up, but I do know what it means if the UI says “Doesn’t need to be installed.”

to help, owning story mode or not doesn't change size as it's all included in the game download
